Prisons Ministry

Headed by highly esteemed Pastor Judy, the Prisons Ministry is one of those unique ministries where one has to rely so much on the Holy Spirit and God’s Favor.

Only God can open a door into a prison. And when the Lord opened the door to Zonderwater prison, Pastor Judy grabbed the opportunity with both hands.

For years, she has been reaching out to offenders on a weekly basis, taking the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who need it most. For many, her visit once a week is the highlight in their lives.

By God’s grace it has been the ministry’s privilege to even go and baptise some of the Christians. This has helped many of those in prison to be strengthened in their faith. We get testimony after testimony of those who have been released from prison that their lives have permanently been changed and that have become productive citizens in society yet again.

Jesus said we should forgive our brothers trespasses seventy times seven times, and it is an honour to serve those who are now born again in Christ right there in prison. We embrace them in love and pray for their ever safe keeping in Christ.

Matthew 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45. Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Matthew 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? 22. Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.
